About the Funky Ghent Flat
Okay, you say to yourself:
"so it's a flat (or appartment, if you are of an American persuasion), it's funky, it's in Ghent. I'm a busy, just-give-me-the-highlights kind of guy. Do I really need to know more??"
To which I say:
"Yes. You do!"
So, set out below are some details of the flat. Also, don't forget to check out the photos for some visual cues!
About the (funky) flat
The this is a one-bedroom located on the first floor of an elegant late 19th century building. It features large windows to let in lots of that glorious Belgian sunshine, not to mention a glassed-in balcony overlooking one of Ghent's typical canals. Great for a romantic breakfast à deux.
It has an enormous living/dining room that can be arranged as one single (and vast) or two separate rooms. There is a compact (ahem!) television with cable (including various UK and other channels: all US/UK series are shown in original version on Belgian TV, too). There is a compact, but fully-equipped kitchen with fridge, freezer, microwave/combo oven, hob, extractor fan and all manner of culinary tools and devices (we are foodies). There is a bathroom with shower and (naturally) a bedroom, with double bed. We also have a couple of single mattress if you don't mind being a bit intimate. Wi-Fi is available.

Location, location, location...
The flat is conveniently located on the Visserij, a chaming, leafy canalside avenue close to the centre of the Belgian city of Ghent. Pretty much everything you want to see in the city is a stroll or bike ride away.
Ghent itself is perhaps the perfect city for visitors. It is stunningly beautiful, with a medieval city complete with castle and narrow streets, not to mention amazing Art Noveau houses, canals and rivers, parks, etc. It also has numerous bars (for all those Belgian beers), cafés, restaurants, museums and whatnot. The city is large enough to have a vibrant social life, with theatres, galleries, cinemas, concerts, etc., so it's not just a tourist spot.
Last but not least, Ghent is a short train ride away from many other great Belgian cities, such as Antwerp, Bruge and Brussels. Perfect!
